Statement: CASEPAC Slams Biden Administration for Including CAIR as National Partner in Antisemitism Plan and Praises Congresswoman Malliotakis for Speaking Out

President Biden’s Antisemitism Plan

(May 30, 2023) CASEPAC, the only Federal Political Action Committee in the United States dedicated exclusively to Combating Antisemitism Everywhere is deeply concerned about the Biden Administration’s decision to include the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) as a national partner to combat the rise of antisemitism in America and its resulting effect upon the Administration’s action plan.

We applaud Congresswoman Nicole Malliotakis for tweeting out a statement calling on President Biden to reconsider his decision to include CAIR saying “Of all the organizations the Biden Administration can partner with to combat antisemitism, an anti-Israel & pro-BDS group like CAIR should NOT be one.”

Even the left-wing Anti-Defamation League recognizes CAIR’s troubling record of antisemitism and material connections to terror. CAIR is an outspoken promoter of the BDS movement which seeks to single out the world’s only Jewish state, Israel. In addition, CAIR is widely considered by the vast majority of Jewish groups from the left to the right as one of the biggest reasons Jewish students feel unsafe on college campuses. It’s worth noting that CAIR is supported by individuals that are active supporters of the BDS movement such as Linda Sarsour, Representative Rashida Tlaib and Representative Ilhan Omar.

The impact of the White House’s inclusion of CAIR and other partisan groups appears to have resulted in a direct attack upon the Jewish consensus surrounding the IHRA Definition of Antisemitism, and an utter denial of the sad truth about left-wing antisemitism and its prevalence. The Jewish people are just as concerned by Woke Supremacism as they are by White Supremacism. Choosing to include the J Street endorsed NEXUS version of Antisemitism speaks volumes.

“CASEPAC is left to conclude that the Biden Administration is not serious about objectively tackling the dangerous rise of antisemitism in America in a non-partisan way. If they were, groups that have played such a major role in the increase of antisemitism wouldn’t have a seat at the table. The decision to advance an antisemitism plan with such a flawed definitional standard is reckless and likely to result in harm to Jewish interests. We call upon elected officials to make clear that only the IHRA Definition is capable of accomplishing the core purpose of the Administration’s plan.”
